Congratulations to our Ethical Pet Spa Stylist Tasha, who recently developed her skills by attending a Dog Behaviour workshop last month.
On the 17th February 2019, Tasha our Ethical Pet Spa stylist, attended a Dog Grooming seminar with Tasha Anderson ICMG on dealing with dog behaviour. The workshop was run by Pugs in the Tub Dog Grooming and designed to improve all round skills in grooming for industry professionals.
Tasha is a level 3 City & Guilds qualified dog groomer with over 6 years of grooming experience. Since starting her career back in 2015, she has worked in a wide range of environments including a vets, a boarding kennels and a large grooming salon. She has consistently pushed herself throughout her career and invested heavily in her own personal development to become an exceptional groomer.
I learnt a great deal from the course, picking up hints and tips from different handling techniques to dog communication in the spa. We are already implementing many aspects from the workshop here, and seeing significant positive results from this, which most importantly benefits all of our dogs throughout their time with us. In the future, I am looking at learning more new grooming techniques and will be visiting Crufts to get some industry insights, and research everything from how particular breeds are cut, to new ethical and natural products for the Spa.
Personal development of our staff is a key part of our ethos at Brown’s and we consistently encourage and support additional learning. This not only helps our staff further their learning, but just as importantly, the Brown’s team can then pass on all this knowledge and experience to you and your pets.
We are extremely lucky to have such dedication in the team and would like to thank her for her hard work and commitment so far in helping to establish, grow and develop our Ethical Pet Spa.
