BECAUSE EVEN ON HOT DAYS THE WALK STILL HAPPENS

Hot weather doesn't have to mean shortened walks or a dog panting on the sofa all afternoon. The Animate Cooling Coat is activated simply by soaking in cold water, wringing out and putting on, lowering body temperature by 6 to 12 degrees Celsius for up to four hours at a time. With a waterproof lining to stop drips and antibacterial, anti-microbial properties built in, it fits like a regular dog coat and is just as easy to live with on warm days.

Why it's a great choice

  • Soak, wring and wear simplicity: Activated in seconds with nothing more than cold water, there is no need for batteries, gels or freezer time before a walk.

  • Hours of cooling from one soak: A single activation lasts up to four hours, giving plenty of coverage for a long walk, a day in the garden or an afternoon outdoors.

  • Hygienic by design: Antibacterial and anti-microbial properties keep the coat fresh between uses, and it is machine washable on a wool cycle for easy care.

  • Waterproof lining for a dry fit: A waterproof backing retains moisture in the fabric while stopping drips onto floors, furniture or laps, so the coat works indoors as well as out.

Key benefits for your Dog

  • Lowers body temperature fast: Dropping body temperature by 6 to 12 degrees Celsius, the coat helps reduce the risk of heatstroke and overheating on hot days.

  • Comfortable, familiar fit: Worn like a regular dog coat, it offers cooling relief without an unfamiliar shape or feel.

  • Suited to every kind of hot day: Whether it's a walk, garden play or just relaxing indoors, the coat keeps dogs comfortable wherever the heat finds them.

  • Long-lasting, low-effort relief: Up to four hours of cooling from one soak means less re-wetting and more time enjoying the day.

A practical, easy-to-use cooling layer for dogs that feel the heat, ideal for warm walks, garden afternoons and lazy summer days indoors.

What you'll need:
A soft tape measure
A calm dog (treats help!)
A friend to assist (optional, but handy!)

You will need to measure your dog's back length.

Back length (Base of Neck to Base of Tail):
Start at the base of your dog’s neck—where the neck meets the shoulders, not where a collar usually sits and lay the tape along their spine to the base of their tail. When measuring your dog’s back, always allow for the natural curve of their spine — coats aren’t meant to be drum-tight!

Tip: Make sure the dog is standing, not sitting or lying down. Add 1–2cm for comfort and ease of movement. If your dog is between sizes, it’s usually best to go up a size for a better fit and coverage.

Measuring Tips for Best Results:
Keep your dog calm and standing upright. Ask a friend to help and use treats or toys to keep them relaxed.
For fluffy dogs, part or gently press down the fur to get an accurate measurement close to the body.
Measure more than once to make sure your numbers are consistent.
