CLASSIC BLACK FOR THE DOG WHO IS ALWAYS READY

The Buster Softshell Coat Black Pepper always looks sharp, no matter the weather. A waterproof and windproof outer with a warm fleece lining, an adjustable double zipper for harness compatibility, and reflective piping make this a coat built for the full range of classic British walking conditions.

Why it's a great choice

  • Waterproof outer and warm fleece lining in a single coat: The Buster Softshell combines a waterproof and windproof outer with a soft fleece interior. The fleece lining holds warmth, while the flexible outer blocks wind and rain without restricting movement.

  • Adjustable double zipper for use with any harness: An adjustable double zipper runs along the back, meaning you can attach the lead to a collar or harness with zero fuss.

  • Reflective tape and piping for low-light visibility: Reflective tape and piping are worked into the coat design, providing visibility and illumination on gloomy walks.

  • Measure your dog before ordering: The Buster Softshell is available in 9 sizes, suitable for most breeds. Consult our How to Measure guide below to find your dog's perfect fit.

Key benefits for your Dog

  • Adjustable leg straps and belly velcro for a tailored fit: Adjustable leg straps and a velcro fastening at the stomach allow the coat to be fitted closely to the dog's individual shape.

  • Machine washable at 30 degrees for easy care: The Buster Softshell Coat Black Pepper is machine washable at 30 degrees, which makes keeping it clean straightforward.

A black pepper softshell dog coat with a waterproof outer, warm fleece lining, harness-compatible double zipper, and reflective safety details, for dogs who stay sharp whatever the weather.

What you'll need:
A soft tape measure
A calm dog (treats help!)
A friend to assist (optional, but handy!)

You will need to measure your dog's back length.

Back length (Base of Neck to Base of Tail):
Start at the base of your dog’s neck, where the neck meets the shoulders, not where a collar usually sits and lay the tape along their spine to the base of their tail. When measuring your dog’s back, always allow for the natural curve of their spine, coats aren’t meant to be drum-tight!

Tip: Make sure the dog is standing, not sitting or lying down. Add 1–2cm for comfort and ease of movement. If your dog is between sizes, it’s usually best to go up a size for a better fit and coverage.

Measuring Tips for Best Results:
Keep your dog calm and standing upright. Ask a friend to help and use treats or toys to keep them relaxed.
For fluffy dogs, part or gently press down the fur to get an accurate measurement close to the body.
Measure more than once to make sure your numbers are consistent.

Please measure your dog carefully against the size guide before ordering. Not sure which size to choose? Message us on live chat and we'll help you pick. Returns due to sizing issues are at the customer's own cost.
