Doggy Concepts Puffer Coat Neon Orange

WARM, WATERPROOF, AND IMPOSSIBLE TO MISS

There are autumn and winter walks where being visible matters as much as staying warm, and the Doggy Concepts Puffer Coat in Neon Orange addresses both with equal conviction. The wet-look neon orange outer is water-resistant and unmissable at distance, whether in low light, heavy rain, or the kind of murky grey afternoons that make dog walking a genuinely challenging visibility exercise. Built from GRS-certified recycled materials throughout, with front entry, popper-secured collar, and sizes from X-Small to Large, this is a coat that does everything right and can be spotted from the far end of any field.

Why it's a great choice

  • Wet-look neon orange outer for maximum visibility: The wet-look finish on the neon orange colourway gives the coat a high-contrast, high-visibility surface that stands out in low light, rain, and dull autumn conditions when dogs on dark-coloured leads can become difficult to spot at distance; for owners who walk near roads, in fields with livestock, or in public spaces with poor visibility, a coat this easy to see adds a meaningful practical safety benefit.

  • GRS-certified recycled polyester and fill throughout: Every component of this coat, the outer, the lining, and the recycled PP fibre filling, is made to the Global Recycled Standard, an independent certification that verifies the recycled content and production chain of the materials used; it is a coat that performs well and is made responsibly, without having to choose between the two.

  • Front entry with tough zip and popper-secured collar: The front entry design, paired with a tough zip and a filled collar that closes with poppers, gives this coat a fast, secure fit that takes seconds to put on and just as long to remove; the collar popper closure also helps seal out the draughts at the neckline that can significantly reduce how warm a dog feels inside their outerwear.

  • Follow our How to Measure guide before ordering: The Puffer Coat is available in X-Small (25cm back length), Small (30cm), Medium (40cm), and Large (50cm), sized by your dog's back length from collar to base of tail. Because we charge for returns on apparel, we strongly recommend consulting our How to Measure guide before placing your order to ensure you select the right size for your dog's specific measurements and avoid any disappointment.

Key benefits for your Dog

  • High-visibility colour for safer low-light walking: Neon orange is one of the most effective colours for visibility in poor light and overcast conditions, and a dog wearing this coat is significantly easier to track at distance than one in a darker or more neutral colourway; for early morning or late afternoon walks in the shorter days of autumn and winter, this is a practical benefit that directly improves safety for both dog and owner.

  • Water-resistant outer keeps dogs dry in wet conditions: The water-resistant surface of the neon orange outer repels rain before it can saturate the fabric, keeping the dog warmer and drier during wet walks than they would be in an uncoated garment; the wet-look finish also means the coat wipes clean easily when muddy, reducing how often a full machine wash is needed.

  • Recycled fill for insulation without added bulk: The recycled PP fibre filling provides the warmth of a traditional puffer coat without unnecessary weight or bulk, allowing dogs to move comfortably and maintain their full range of motion during walks; this balance of warmth and freedom of movement is particularly valuable for active dogs who need their outerwear to keep up with them.

  • Machine washable at 30 degrees for practical upkeep: A neon orange coat worn on muddy autumn and winter walks will need regular cleaning, and the 30-degree machine-wash compatibility makes this easy; the materials hold their shape and performance wash after wash, meaning the coat remains as water-resistant and well-fitting at the end of the season as it was at the beginning.

A wet-look neon orange puffer coat in GRS-certified recycled materials for dogs who need to stay warm, dry, and visible on every autumn and winter walk. Please consult our How to Measure guide before ordering, as we charge for returns on apparel.

What you'll need:

A soft tape measure
A calm dog (treats help!)
A friend to assist (optional, but handy!)

You will need to measure your dog's back length, neckline and chest girth.

Back length (Base of Neck to Base of Tail):
Start at the base of your dog’s neck, where the neck meets the shoulders, not where a collar usually sits and lay the tape along their spine to the base of their tail.  When measuring your dog’s back, always allow for the natural curve of their spine, coats aren’t meant to be drum-tight!

Tip: Make sure the dog is standing, not sitting or lying down. Add 1–2cm for comfort and ease of movement. If your dog is between sizes, it’s usually best to go up a size for a better fit and coverage.

Neckline (Base of Neck):
Wrap the tape measure snugly around the base of your dog’s neck, where the neck meets the shoulders, not where a collar usually sits.

Tip: Think of where a polo shirt collar would naturally sit on your dog. Don’t measure too high.

Chest Girth (Widest Part of Rib Cage):
Find the widest part of your dog’s ribcage, usually just behind the front legs. Wrap the tape measure around this area to get the chest girth.

Tip: Keep the tape snug but not tight. You should be able to slip one or two fingers between the tape and your dog’s body.

Measuring Tips for Best Results:
Keep your dog calm and standing upright. Ask a friend to help and use treats or toys to keep them relaxed.
For fluffy dogs, part or gently press down the fur to get an accurate measurement close to the body.
Measure more than once to make sure your numbers are consistent.
