KNOW WHERE YOUR DOG IS, WHATEVER THE CONDITIONS

The Orbiloc Dog Dual Safety Light is a Danish-made LED safety light for dogs, designed to make your dog visible on evening walks, off-lead runs, dawn starts, and swims, not to light up the path, but to show where your dog is. Visible up to 5 km in any of its 11 colours, waterproof to 100 metres (IPX8), and tested to withstand 100 kg of impact, it attaches to a collar, harness or coat with the adjustable silicone strap included in the box. It is the safety tool for dogs over 10 kg that makes low-visibility walks a genuinely easier, calmer thing to do.

Why it's a great choice

  • Visible up to 5 km, verified by an external light lab: The 5 km visibility figure is a measured threshold, not a marketing estimate. Every colour of Orbiloc Dog Dual meets it, tested by an accredited external lab. The 270-degree lens sends light forwards and to the sides, so the dog is visible from almost any direction, not just straight on.

  • Two modes: steady-on (100 hours) and flashing (250 hours): The Mode Selector Ring switches between steady and flashing with a simple turn. Steady-on gives up to 100 hours of consistent visibility; flashing extends battery life to 250 hours and increases conspicuity in moving light conditions. The CR2032 battery pack is user-replaceable and widely available.

  • Waterproof to 100 metres (IPX8) and 100 kg impact resistant:The housing is lab-tested at 10 bar for one hour, making it genuinely suitable for dogs who swim rather than just tolerant of rain. The 100 kg impact rating means rough play, rolling on the ground, and being trodden on are not concerns. Temperature range of -40 to 50 degrees C means it works through the dark season.

  • Made in Denmark with a 3-year warranty and replaceable parts: Orbiloc has been making safety lights in Aarhus since 2009. The same design is used by firefighters, police, and search and rescue teams. The battery pack, O-ring, Mode Selector Ring, and strap are all available as spare parts, so when something wears, the part is replaced, not the whole light. Register within 30 days for the 3-year manufacturer's warranty.

Key benefits for your Dog

  • You can see where your dog is in the dark:On an off-lead evening walk, in a dark field, or during a swim at dusk, knowing exactly where your dog is removes a significant amount of worry from the walk. The Orbiloc's visibility at distance is what makes that possible, rather than a light that is only useful at close range.

  • Drivers, cyclists, and other walkers can see your dog too:A dog on a lead on a country lane at dusk is a road safety concern. The Orbiloc addresses that directly, making the dog visible to approaching traffic and other path users at a meaningful distance rather than only when they are already close.

  • Attaches to collar, harness, or coat without any specialist fitting:The adjustable strap in the box fits four sizes and works on most collars and harnesses. It takes a few seconds to fit and sits flat so the dog does not feel it when lying down, rolling, or playing. Optional clip and carabiner mounts are available for coats and long-furred dogs.

  • 11 colours for colour-coding multiple dogs:With 11 colours available (Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Purple, Turquoise, Amber, Dark, White, Pink, Gold), owners with multiple dogs can assign a colour to each and identify them at distance in the dark without needing to call them in to check. Available to order in your chosen colour.

A Danish-made LED dog safety light visible up to 5 km, IPX8 waterproof to 100 metres, 100 kg impact resistant and with steady-on and flashing modes.

Every colour reaches the same distance. All 11 colours of the Orbiloc Dog Dual are visible up to 5 km, verified by an external light lab. What changes between colours is how bright the light looks up close — to you and to other people nearby. The intensity score below (out of 5) measures that up-close brightness, not how far the light reaches.

This means there is no wrong choice on safety grounds. Choose by what suits your dog’s fur, your collar colour, or the situation you walk in most.

Yellow — Brightness: 4/5
Warm and easy to notice. Gentle on the eyes when your dog walks close to you.
Good for: on lead, in town, in the countryside.

Red — Brightness: 2/5

Good for: off lead, on lead, countryside.

Uncommon in everyday lighting, so it stands apart from streetlights and car headlights.

A bright, playful look. Mixes purple and red light so it appears softer up close.
