THE FESTIVE CLASSIC YOUR DOG WAS ALWAYS MEANT TO WEAR

Fairisle has been a festive staple for generations, and the House of Paws Reindeer Fairisle Polo Jumper brings that timeless heritage straight to your dog's wardrobe. Knitted in classic red and white with a traditional reindeer fairisle pattern, it strikes the ideal balance between seasonal charm and everyday wearability, sitting close enough to look smart and stretchy enough to stay comfortable all day. A polo neck adds a layered, finished look that keeps the cold out as well as it turns heads on winter walks.

Why it's a great choice

  • Timeless fairisle design: The classic red and white reindeer fairisle pattern is a festive icon, giving your dog a look that feels genuinely stylish rather than novelty, and works across a whole season of outings.

  • Polo neck for extra coverage: The polo neck adds a warm layer at the neck, a practical detail that makes a real difference on colder walks and breezy winter evenings when a standard crewneck falls short.

  • Soft, stretchy knit construction: Made from a comfortable stretch knit that allows easy movement, it is practical to wear all day without causing discomfort, bunching, or restriction.

  • Easy to dress and undress: The stretch construction means no complex fastenings to wrestle with, making putting the jumper on and taking it off a straightforward process for both dog and owner.

Key benefits for your Dog

  • Warmth through the festive season: The knitted construction provides a reliable layer of insulation that suits cooler temperatures, keeping shorter-coated or smaller dogs comfortable during winter walks and outdoor time.

  • Freedom of movement: The stretch knit sits close to the body and moves with your dog naturally, so there is no awkward stiffness or bunching that might put a dog off wearing it.

  • Comprehensive coverage with the polo neck: The polo neck means the chest, neck, and torso are all covered, giving more thorough warmth than an open-neck jumper on days when it really counts.

  • A classic look that photographs beautifully: The red and white fairisle pattern stands out clearly in photos, making it a great choice for Christmas cards, family pictures, and seasonal social media moments.

A classic, well-made festive jumper for dogs who wear the Christmas spirit best in traditional red and white.

What you'll need:

A soft tape measure
A calm dog (treats help!)
A friend to assist (optional, but handy!)

You will need to measure your dog's back length, neckline and chest girth.

Back length (Base of Neck to Base of Tail):
Start at the base of your dog’s neck—where the neck meets the shoulders, not where a collar usually sits and lay the tape along their spine to the base of their tail. When measuring your dog’s back, always allow for the natural curve of their spine — coats aren’t meant to be drum-tight!

Tip: Make sure the dog is standing, not sitting or lying down. Add 1–2cm for comfort and ease of movement. If your dog is between sizes, it’s usually best to go up a size for a better fit and coverage.

Neckline (Base of Neck):
Wrap the tape measure snugly around the base of your dog’s neck—where the neck meets the shoulders, not where a collar usually sits.

Tip: Think of where a polo shirt collar would naturally sit on your dog. Don’t measure too high.

Chest Girth (Widest Part of Rib Cage):
Find the widest part of your dog’s ribcage—usually just behind the front legs. Wrap the tape measure around this area to get the chest girth.

Tip: Keep the tape snug but not tight. You should be able to slip one or two fingers between the tape and your dog’s body.

Measuring Tips for Best Results:
Keep your dog calm and standing upright. Ask a friend to help and use treats or toys to keep them relaxed.
For fluffy dogs, part or gently press down the fur to get an accurate measurement close to the body.
Measure more than once to make sure your numbers are consistent.
