Why it's a great choice

  • Highest energy in the Working Dog range:At 3,755 kcal/kg and 29% crude protein, this chicken recipe has the highest energy density in the Wilsons Working Dog range, making it the natural choice for dogs whose daily working output demands maximum calorie availability from a compact daily ration.

  • Thirty-two percent dry ground chicken:Dry ground chicken at 32%, chicken fat, and chicken hydrolysate together provide a high-inclusion chicken base that delivers both the protein content and the palatability that consistently motivates dogs to eat well before and after working sessions.

  • Grain free for efficient digestion:Sweet potato, peas, and tapioca provide grain-free carbohydrate energy that is digestible and appropriate for working dogs where digestive consistency matters for performance and daily management in a kennel or training environment.

  • VAT-free 15kg format for working kennels:Available VAT-free in a 15kg bag, this is designed for the scale and cost efficiency that working dog kennels and high-volume feeding programmes require, reducing the per-kilogram cost of fuelling multiple working dogs.

  • Glucosamine and chondroitin for joint health:Glucosamine at 200mg/kg and chondroitin sulphate at 150mg/kg provide daily joint support for dogs that perform physically demanding work, contributing to long-term cartilage health and joint mobility across the working life of the dog.

  • Prebiotic support for gut health:Chicory, inulin, and MOS work alongside beet pulp to support the gut microbiome and maintain consistent digestion in working dogs whose routine and physical demands place additional stress on gastrointestinal function during the working season.

How to Transition to Cold Pressed

Switching your dog’s diet gradually helps prevent digestive upset. Follow this 7-day plan:

Days 1–3:
Introduce cold pressed as a treat, gradually increasing the amount (no more than 25% of their daily intake). If your dog is on a strict diet, slightly reduce their old food to balance calories.

Days 4–6:
Replace their breakfast with cold pressed (half their daily portion), while still feeding their old food for dinner.

Day 7-9:
Feed 75% of daily intake as cold pressed, make up the rest with their old food.

Day 9+:
Fully transition to 100% cold pressed.

For dogs with sensitive stomachs, extend each phase by 2–3 days for a gentler adjustment.
