THIRTY-TWO PERCENT PORK FOR THE DOG WHO EARNS THEIR BOWL

Working dogs burn more calories before midday than most pets manage in a week, and the food that fuels that level of output needs a protein content and ingredient quality to match the demands being placed on the animal. Wilsons Working Dog Cold Pressed Pork is built around dry ground pork at 32%, grain-free and cold pressed with sweet potato, peas, tapioca, chicory, inulin, and MOS, delivering 24% crude protein and 3,435 kcal/kg in a VAT-free 15kg format designed for the feeding demands of a working kennel. For dogs that spend their days performing rather than resting, this is daily nutrition calibrated to the level of effort they actually put in.

Why it's a great choice

  • Thirty-two percent dry ground pork:Dry ground pork at 32% is the lead ingredient, providing a protein-dense base with an amino acid profile that supports muscle function and recovery in dogs that are physically active for extended periods each day.

  • Grain free for digestive efficiency:Sweet potato, peas, and tapioca replace grain as the carbohydrate sources in this recipe, providing energy in a digestible form that is appropriate for dogs with grain sensitivity and for working kennels where consistent, predictable digestion is important.

  • VAT-free in a 15kg working dog format:Supplied VAT-free in a 15kg bag, this is formulated and priced specifically for working dog owners and kennels, reducing the cost per kilogram of feeding and providing the bag size that high-volume feeding demands.

  • Prebiotic and gut health support:Chicory, inulin, MOS, and beet pulp work alongside each other to support gut microbiome health and consistent stool quality in dogs whose working schedule and physical output place additional demands on the digestive system.

Key benefits for your Dog

  • 24% crude protein for sustained performance:At 24% crude protein from pork as the primary source, this recipe delivers the daily amino acid intake for muscle maintenance and repair in dogs whose working role requires consistent physical output and recovery between sessions.

  • 3,435 kcal/kg for active energy requirements: At 3,435 kcal/kg, this recipe provides the energy density appropriate for working dogs with elevated daily calorie requirements, supporting sustained performance without the need for significantly larger portions than a standard adult maintenance food.

  • Glucosamine and chondroitin for working joints:Glucosamine at 200mg/kg and chondroitin at 150mg/kg support cartilage health and joint mobility in dogs that place repeated mechanical stress on their joints through daily working activity, running, or physical training.

  • Botanical support for recovery and immunity: Cranberry, dandelion root, marigold, and rosemary extract provide antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds that support recovery between working sessions and contribute to the immune resilience that active outdoor dogs require throughout the working year.

How to Transition to Cold Pressed

Switching your dog’s diet gradually helps prevent digestive upset. Follow this 7-day plan:

Days 1–3:
Introduce cold pressed as a treat, gradually increasing the amount (no more than 25% of their daily intake). If your dog is on a strict diet, slightly reduce their old food to balance calories.

Days 4–6:
Replace their breakfast with cold pressed (half their daily portion), while still feeding their old food for dinner.

Day 7-9:
Feed 75% of daily intake as cold pressed, make up the rest with their old food.

Day 9+:
Fully transition to 100% cold pressed.

For dogs with sensitive stomachs, extend each phase by 2–3 days for a gentler adjustment.
