Doggy Concepts Puffer Coat Hot Pink

BECAUSE STAYING WARM HAS NEVER LOOKED THIS BOLD

The Doggy Concepts Puffer Coat in Hot Pink is for the dog whose personality refuses to be dressed down for autumn. Bold, bright, and built with the same GRS-certified recycled materials and practical construction as the rest of the range, it combines a matte hot pink water-resistant outer with a recycled PP fibre-filled interior to keep dogs warm and dry while making absolutely no attempt at subtlety, which is precisely the point. Front entry, popper-secured collar, four sizes, and a finish that is going to be the most fun thing on the dog lead all winter.

Why it's a great choice

  • Matte hot pink finish with water-resistant outer: The matte finish on the Hot Pink colourway gives the coat a clean, contemporary look that holds up well in wet conditions without the reflective sheen of the wet-look variants; the water-resistant surface repels rain before it can saturate the fabric, keeping dogs warm and dry through whatever the season throws at them while maintaining that bold, confident colour.

  • GRS-certified recycled materials from outer to fill: The outer, lining, and recycled PP fibre filling are all produced to the Global Recycled Standard, an independent certification that verifies the recycled content and supply chain of the materials used; it is a coat that looks good, performs well, and is made with the same care for environmental credentials as it is for quality.

  • Front entry design with tough zip and popper collar: The front entry combined with a tough centre zip and a filled puffer collar secured with poppers makes this one of the more practical dog coats to put on correctly every time; the popper collar closure is the detail that matters most in cold conditions, sealing the neckline gap that accounts for a disproportionate amount of heat loss in a dog coat.

  • Follow our How to Measure guide before ordering: The Puffer Coat is available in X-Small (25cm back length), Small (30cm), Medium (40cm), and Large (50cm), sized by your dog's back length from collar to base of tail. Because we charge for returns on apparel, we strongly recommend consulting our How to Measure guide before placing your order to ensure you select the right size for your dog's specific measurements and avoid any disappointment.

Key benefits for your Dog

  • Warmth for dogs who feel the cold: Dogs with short, thin, or single-layer coats, small breeds with a low body-to-surface-area ratio, senior dogs, or any dog that opts for the warmest corner of the house when the temperature drops will benefit significantly from the insulating recycled fibre fill; the hot pink exterior might attract the attention, but it is the filling that does the real work on cold mornings.

  • Water-resistant outer for UK autumn and winter walking: The water-resistant matte outer keeps the dog dry when rain arrives mid-walk, preserving the performance of the insulating fill and ensuring the dog remains comfortable for the duration; unlike an uncoated fabric that absorbs moisture and becomes heavy and cold, the water-resistant surface sheds rain before it can penetrate.

  • Breathable construction for dogs who walk at pace: Dogs who move quickly or cover longer distances need outerwear that allows heat to escape as their activity level rises, and the breathable construction of the Doggy Concepts Puffer Coat prevents the internal temperature from building to the point of discomfort; this makes it appropriate for active dogs and easy-going dogs in equal measure.

  • Machine washable at 30 degrees for low-maintenance care: The Hot Pink coat is machine washable at 30 degrees, which matters for a coat that will be worn through the muddiest months of the year; the materials maintain their performance and shape through repeated washing, meaning the coat looks as good and works as well at the end of a full season as it did on day one.

A matte hot pink puffer coat in GRS-certified recycled materials for dogs with personality to spare and owners who see no reason why staying warm and looking bold should be mutually exclusive. Please consult our How to Measure guide before ordering, as we charge for returns on apparel.

What you'll need:

A soft tape measure
A calm dog (treats help!)
A friend to assist (optional, but handy!)

You will need to measure your dog's back length, neckline and chest girth.

Back length (Base of Neck to Base of Tail):
Start at the base of your dog’s neck, where the neck meets the shoulders, not where a collar usually sits and lay the tape along their spine to the base of their tail.  When measuring your dog’s back, always allow for the natural curve of their spine, coats aren’t meant to be drum-tight!

Tip: Make sure the dog is standing, not sitting or lying down. Add 1–2cm for comfort and ease of movement. If your dog is between sizes, it’s usually best to go up a size for a better fit and coverage.

Neckline (Base of Neck):
Wrap the tape measure snugly around the base of your dog’s neck, where the neck meets the shoulders, not where a collar usually sits.

Tip: Think of where a polo shirt collar would naturally sit on your dog. Don’t measure too high.

Chest Girth (Widest Part of Rib Cage):
Find the widest part of your dog’s ribcage, usually just behind the front legs. Wrap the tape measure around this area to get the chest girth.

Tip: Keep the tape snug but not tight. You should be able to slip one or two fingers between the tape and your dog’s body.

Measuring Tips for Best Results:
Keep your dog calm and standing upright. Ask a friend to help and use treats or toys to keep them relaxed.
For fluffy dogs, part or gently press down the fur to get an accurate measurement close to the body.
Measure more than once to make sure your numbers are consistent.
