THIRTY PERCENT FISH PRESSED FOR DOGS WHO NEVER SLOW DOWN

Fish is one of the most protein-dense and digestible single-protein sources available to working dogs, and at 30% dry ground fish with hydrolysed fish also in the recipe, this is a formulation that earns the designation rather than simply using fish as a label. Wilsons Working Dog Cold Pressed Fish delivers 28% crude protein and 3,700 kcal/kg, the highest energy density in the Wilsons Working Dog range, in a grain-free and chicken-free recipe pressed cold with tapioca, peas, sweet potato, and a full prebiotic stack. Supplied VAT-free in a 15kg format, it is calibrated for the feeding demands of working kennels and high-output active dogs where every kilogram of food needs to deliver maximum nutritional return.

Why it's a great choice

  • Thirty percent dry ground fish:Dry ground fish at 30% is the lead ingredient, supported by hydrolysed fish elsewhere in the recipe, delivering a fish-forward protein base with the omega-3 contribution and amino acid profile that fish protein brings to working dog nutrition.

  • Highest protein in the Working Dog range:At 28% crude protein, this recipe has the highest protein content in the Wilsons Working Dog range, making it the appropriate choice for dogs with the highest daily protein requirements due to their physical workload and recovery demands.

  • Grain free and chicken free:Free from grain and chicken, this recipe suits working kennels managing dogs with sensitivities to those ingredients and provides a clean cold pressed fish food with tapioca, peas, and sweet potato as the carbohydrate sources.

  • VAT-free 15kg working dog format:Supplied VAT-free in a 15kg bag, this is designed for the scale of feeding required by working dog kennels and active households with multiple dogs, reducing the cost per kilogram across the feeding programme.

Key benefits for your Dog

  • 28% crude protein for peak performance:At 28% crude protein from fish as the sole protein source, this recipe delivers the daily amino acid intake for muscle repair, maintenance, and growth in working dogs whose physical role demands more than a standard adult maintenance formula provides.

  • 3,700 kcal/kg for sustained working energy:At 3,700 kcal/kg, this is the most energy-dense recipe in the Working Dog range, providing the calorie content to fuel all-day working activity and support dogs that burn significant calories through sustained physical output.

  • Omega-3 for coat and inflammation management:Dry ground fish and hydrolysed fish contribute omega-3 fatty acids that support skin barrier health, coat condition, and the management of low-level inflammatory responses that are common in working dogs exposed to outdoor conditions throughout the year.

  • Joint support within the daily bowl:Glucosamine at 200mg/kg and chondroitin at 150mg/kg are included in the daily serving, providing cartilage support for working dogs who place sustained mechanical stress on their joints through movement, terrain work, and physical activity.

How to Transition to Cold Pressed

Switching your dog’s diet gradually helps prevent digestive upset. Follow this 7-day plan:

Days 1–3:
Introduce cold pressed as a treat, gradually increasing the amount (no more than 25% of their daily intake). If your dog is on a strict diet, slightly reduce their old food to balance calories.

Days 4–6:
Replace their breakfast with cold pressed (half their daily portion), while still feeding their old food for dinner.

Day 7-9:
Feed 75% of daily intake as cold pressed, make up the rest with their old food.

Day 9+:
Fully transition to 100% cold pressed.

For dogs with sensitive stomachs, extend each phase by 2–3 days for a gentler adjustment.
