THE FISH BOWL THEY ACTUALLY FINISH, EVERY SINGLE TIME

There are dogs who circle the bowl cautiously, and there are the ones who are already pushing you out of the way before the scoop has landed. Wilsons Premium Cold Pressed White Fish was made for the second kind: 29.5% dried ground white fish pressed at low temperature with sweet potato, spirulina, seaweed, kale, and green-lipped mussel at 0.25g/kg to retain the nutrition that high-heat processing destroys. At 3,810 kcal/kg with 26% crude protein, 14% crude fat, and free from grain, chicken, and peas, it is a recipe that stands up to scrutiny in every area.

Why it's a great choice

  • Cold pressing at low temperature:Cold pressing retains more of the natural nutrients present in the raw ingredients than baking or extrusion, which is particularly important when you are starting with 29.5% dried ground white fish, 5% hydrolysed fish, and 1.5% fish oil as your principal protein and fat sources.

  • Grain free, chicken free and pea free:This recipe contains no grain, no chicken, and no peas, making it a sound option for dogs with sensitivities to any of those ingredients and for owners who want a single-protein white fish food without common cross-contamination concerns.

  • Green-lipped mussel at 0.25g/kg:Green-lipped mussel is included at 0.25g/kg alongside glucosamine at 400mg/kg and chondroitin sulphate at 300mg/kg, providing three recognised sources of joint support within a single daily serving and making this suitable for working dogs and those prone to joint stress.

  • Postbiotic and prebiotic support:Postbiotic saccharomyces cerevisiae at 0.4% works alongside chicory, inulin, and MOS at 500mg/kg to support the gut microbiome from multiple angles, contributing to digestive health and firmer stools alongside the beet pulp fibre already present in the recipe.

Key benefits for your Dog

  • Sustained energy from 3,810 kcal/kg:With an energy density of 3,810 kcal/kg, this is one of the most calorie-efficient options in the premium cold pressed range, making it well suited to active and working dogs who need sustained energy from a daily ration they can digest comfortably.

  • 26% crude protein for lean muscle: At 26% crude protein drawn from dried ground white fish and hydrolysed fish, the amino acid profile supports lean muscle maintenance and recovery, with 8% raw ash reflecting the quality of the mineral-rich fish ingredient base.

  • Omega-rich fish oils for skin and coat:Fish oil at 1.5% and hydrolysed fish at 5% contribute omega-3 fatty acids that support skin barrier health, coat quality, and the anti-inflammatory pathways that are relevant to dogs with seasonal allergies or ongoing skin sensitivity.

  • Botanicals for daily wellbeing:Ginger, turmeric, thyme, dandelion root, marigold yellow, cranberry, and lutein round out the botanical profile, providing antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and urinary health support as part of the daily routine without the need for additional supplementation.

A grain-free, chicken-free, pea-free cold pressed white fish food for dogs who thrive on fish protein and owners who want a clean, high-nutrition ingredient list they can feel confident feeding every day.

How to Transition to Cold Pressed

Switching your dog’s diet gradually helps prevent digestive upset. Follow this 7-day plan:

Days 1–3:
Introduce cold pressed as a treat, gradually increasing the amount (no more than 25% of their daily intake). If your dog is on a strict diet, slightly reduce their old food to balance calories.

Days 4–6:
Replace their breakfast with cold pressed (half their daily portion), while still feeding their old food for dinner.

Day 7-9:
Feed 75% of daily intake as cold pressed, make up the rest with their old food.

Day 9+:
Fully transition to 100% cold pressed.

For dogs with sensitive stomachs, extend each phase by 2–3 days for a gentler adjustment.
