Green & Wilds Father Christmouse With Catnip

A Fun, Festive, Eco-Friendly Toy for Playful Cats

There is something deeply satisfying about watching a cat lock onto a toy they genuinely cannot leave alone, and Father Christmouse tends to produce exactly that response. This standalone eco cat toy is a compact Father Christmas mouse character in wool felt and jute string, packed with natural catnip, at 15.5cm x 7cm x 3.5cm with a jute string for batting and dragging. Without a bamboo stick it can be used for interactive sessions when an owner holds the string, or left for a cat to toss, carry, and interrogate entirely on its own terms.

Why it's a great choice

• Standalone design for both interactive and independent play: Without a bamboo stick, Father Christmouse works for interactive sessions when an owner dangles the jute string and for independent play when a cat bats, tosses, and carries it solo, making it more versatile across different play contexts and moods.

• Catnip filling for instant and sustained engagement: The wool felt character is filled with natural catnip, a safe herb known to encourage relaxation and playful behaviour, providing the aromatic draw that gets most cats' attention and keeps them returning to the toy.

• Handcrafted from wool felt and jute: Made entirely from natural, eco-friendly materials that are fully recyclable and produced without compounds that would be harmful if chewed, consistent with Green & Wilds' natural credentials throughout the range.

• Cheerful Father Christmas mouse character for festive gifting: The character design makes Father Christmouse a natural addition to a cat Christmas stocking, with a seasonal personality that brings some December charm to the toy box without any compromise on eco credentials or play value.

Key benefits for your Cat

• Catnip encourages engagement in cats who need extra incentive: Cats who are selective about what they will interact with are often reliably drawn to catnip, making Father Christmouse a useful option in households where some cats are indifferent to toys that do not offer an aromatic reward.

• Jute string allows batting, dragging, and carrying: The attached jute string gives the toy extra movement when batted and provides a trailing element that triggers the chase instinct, extending the range of play styles the toy supports beyond simple swatting.

• Lightweight and compact for cats of all sizes: At just 16g and 15.5cm in length, Father Christmouse is easy for cats of any size to carry, toss, and engage with, making it equally suited to a large active cat and a small flat-dwelling companion.

• Natural materials are safe for cats who chew their toys: Wool felt and jute produce no harmful compounds when mouthed or chewed, which is a relevant consideration for cats who interact intensively with toys during play rather than simply batting from a distance.
